Technology

IntraWorlds uses standard web 2.0 technology to develop our leading social community software solution. Our software is available for clients as a software-as-a-service-application. This means that our technology is 100 % web-based and accessible for administrators and users over the internet (through standard web browsers). Our software is kept up-to-date with regular software updates including software upgrades/ extensions as well that we provide to our clients on a bi-yearly basis.

Interfaces for an integrated community-solution

We integrate our community software into an already existing IT system infrastructure – if useful or required by the customer – based on standardized interfaces that are provided by our technology. With this integration, content and user information can be synchronized and tracked in the social community and existing systems (CRM, CMS, customer administration, etc.) of the client at the same time. Furthermore, the software adapts to the work environment by offering possibilities to exchange data with Microsoft Windows programs and other popular applications. For clients and their users, our solution thus makes it comfortable to stay in touch with contacts in a structured manner. Data import and export can be created easily through the software and help to process information from the communities for further administrational tasks.

Basic technology: the LAMP-technology

We use the LAMP-technology as our standard web technology. LAMP-technology summarizes the combination of Linux, Apache, MySQL and php as system components. For an encrypted data transmission our technology uses SSL-technology. We integrate the most recent technological developments, e.g. AJaX, into our platform and make them a part of our web 2.0 software.

Our service – because the consumer is always right

We additionally take over hosting and maintenance for our clients, which is part of our software-as-a-service offer. Moreover, the support for administrators by the experienced IntraWorlds support team allows our clients to seek advice during the implementation and after the launch. Technical questions can thus be taken care of by our competent contact persons. Our support team is available by email as well as telephone to assist with your enquiries. A proven implementation schedule makes it possible to set up a new customized community platform in the individual design and tonality of our client in only a few weeks.
