Questions regarding the product

Which product do we offer?
Our community solution is a so called white-label-software, which means, that it is using the same standardized technology for each community, but it is going to be strongly adapted to the customer, his desires and his corporate design. The communities are basing on different modules (features), which are combined specifically for each target group and their application.

How adaptable is the software?
The software is extremely flexible. We adjust the design and layout entirely to the wishes of our customers. The integration into already existing systems is also possible. Further, it is no problem to make modifications afterwards.

How many languages are available?
The software is multilingual designed and is currently offered in six languages (German, English, Spanish, French, Catalan, Dutch). However, additional languages are easy to complement.

How are the communities structured?
They consist of a basis solution, which offers the same essential range of functions to all customers. Depending on the customer, different modules are added to the portal. The modules are feature packages, which help to align the community exactly to the needs of the target group. At the moment we offer following modules: basic platform, events, career, payment, premium profile, fundraising, market place, partners & projects, additional network, additional language, mobile version and integration of moodle.

How can I get to know the software?
You get the very best insight when you order a telephone presentation. The community is strongly adapted to the target group and therefore very specific for each customer. What can I do with the software?
Generally, the software serves to strengthen the knowledge exchange and the networking between a specific target group. Their communication and administration should be simplified and improved. Our software is proper for building customer-, employee- and member-communities. More specific information is to be found below the menu point “Solutions”.

Which scope of performance can I expect?
IntraWorlds accompanies you at the setup and extension of your community. We advise you, implement the software and provide on-going support afterwards. Throughout, competent contact persons will be available for you during the process. When further help at handling our software is required, we offer trainings and workshops.

Is the software for free?
No. The prices are depending on the modules you want and the number of active users. The fees are divided into a onetime implementation fee and the annual basic and user licence fee. A community for free is not feasible, since the technology needs to be strongly adapted to each customer and also requires continuous development.

What do I need for implementing a community of IntraWorlds?
Just an idea – the technological implementation is our part. This includes the entire hosting and maintenance of the domain and the server.

How does the collaboration work?
We accompany you from the definition of the project via the implementation through to the on-going run. At the implementation, we follow a standardised and more than 100 times proven process. We publish release updates approximately biannual. Furthermore, we gladly lend you our technical support when there are any problems or change requests.

How much (personnel) effort do I need to run such a portal?
Our software is built to need very less administrational resources. Many processes already run automatically, even content slips in automatically or can be picked out autonomous. Simultaneously, a responsible person for the community should be elected, since you need to take (at least a little) effort for administration and the regular upload of exclusive content into account.

How does the operating of the community run?
Generally, IntraWorlds takes care of the technical aspects of the community, whilst the customer is responsible for the content. If desired, we take over the management of the community in cooperation with our partner companies.

Which references can IntraWorlds possess?
IntraWorlds has more than 100 customers from different organisations. In the area of customer communities, we have customers like the STARK publishing house, the publishing house nwb or the Health and Beauty Business Media AG. Employee community solutions are already implemented by e.g. the BMW Group, KPMG or the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. The LMU Munich, the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam or the Bavarian Soccer Association use member community solutions by IntraWorlds. Questions regarding the technology / data security

How am I always up to date with the software development?
IntraWorlds offers trainings and workshops for bringing our technology even closer to you. Beforehand we inform you about our approximately biannual software updates.

Are the prospective, approximately biannual software updates for free?
The costs for the software updates are included in the basic licence fee.

Is the support also guaranteed after the implementation?
Yes, the E-Mail- and telephone-support is constantly reachable for you.

Are the data in IntraWorlds communities kept secure?
Yes, because we go according to the guidelines of the Association for Data Security and Data Safety e.V. (GDD). They are part of our standard contract. Moreover, the data of the community are transferred safely via an https-encryption and further standards.

Questions regardding the implementation

How long do the development and adaption take?
It takes approximately 3 months. However, this process can be transacted faster or slower; this depends on the need for coordination with the customer, his intern processes and also the scope of the implementation.

How does the implementation take place?
We implement the communities by following a standardized process. In the definition phase, we need the input of the customer and clarify all necessary details. In the implementation phase, we convert those information, whilst the community is checked again in the third step, the testing phase.

Is the integration in or a connection with already existing systems possible?
Yes, since we already have existing standard interfaces. In numerous customer projects, we connected different types of systems (e.g. CRM, CMS) with our community. There is no problem to even connect new systems.
