Munich-based car maker creates talent network for participants of trainee programmes - 2010-03-26
Community „CUBE“ launched with IntraWorlds
|
| Munich, March 25, 2010: To retain and manage participants in BMW trainee programmes, IntraWorlds has created an exclusive online community for the BMW Group. With its experience and know-how, community specialist IntraWorlds is well placed to support BMW in attracting the top engineers and managers of tomorrow. The community, which has been launched under the name 'CUBE', enables BMW to continue to expand its key activities for the recruitment of new talent in Web 2.0. Target group-specific content and offers and the networking of participants are the main features of this online community. |
The new 'CUBE' community helps BMW to make communication with participants on its trainee programmes even more attractive and to simplify the administrative work involved in managing these programmes. Programme leaders now have at their disposal a state-of-the-art, interactive platform, tailored to the BMW Group's corporate design, which makes it easier for them to maintain regular contact with potential job candidates from their programmes. At the same time, the community also aims to manage profile and candidate data automatically and to keep this data available and up to date through on-going interaction with programme participants.
The community, based on IntraWorlds' IntraTalents platform, enables participants to network amongst themselves as well as with BMW Group employees. In addition to the creation of personal profiles and facilities for compiling exclusive contents, announcing and managing events and facilitating discussions in forums and chatrooms, newsletters can also be sent and surveys carried out. Likewise, user activities can be statistically evaluated in order to measure the acceptance and success of the community.
Dr Martin Heibel, Managing Director of IntraWorlds, says of the co-operation with BMW: "BMW shows just how to go about effectively acquiring new talent in the Web 2.0 era. When it comes to choosing who they want to work for, today's graduates expect personal contact and authentic interaction via modern media. 'CUBE' enables BMW to attract high-potential candidates to its company with a highly attractive and interactive website. The team at IntraWorlds is delighted to be able to support BMW as a partner by operating 'CUBE'."
