IntraWorlds’ 2018 in Review
As 2018 comes to a close, we’re proud to say that this was yet another remarkable year for the IntraWorlds team. From both a technical and human-central stand-point, we proudly delivered on highly anticipated technology developments for our clients as well as hosted one of our most successful events to date. In this blog post, we’ll share with you a few of the most notable highlights and successes from 2018.
Launching into 2018
We kicked things off in January with a webinar on the topic of “How to Successfully Launch a Corporate Alumni Program”. Inspired by a series of events on the topic, the webinar brought together like-minded professionals from across the globe and featured hands-on tips designed to help firms who are looking to either revamp an existing alumni program or to jump-start a new one. Participants left the webinar with a step by step guide on industry best practices and strategies to utilize in their alumni program launch efforts.
Delving into new developments
Based on direct client feedback, we successfully launched a comprehensive reporting tool. The tool includes elements such as tables, charts, and single metrics – creating comprehensive insights for admins to benchmark and view user data easily. Furthermore, we introduced a Social Content Sharing Extension, which allows content to be shared seamlessly via the IntraWorlds platform with external social sites such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and/or via email. In addition, protecting privacy and ensuring the security of client data is the cornerstone of IntraWorlds’ business, therefore we adapted our solution to assist our clients in adhering to the new GDPR regulations.
Relishing in Alumni Relations
High in the sky above the energetic streets of London, IntraWorlds hosted a deep dive workshop for industry leaders in June at the beautiful Searcy’s Club in the Gherkin. The event brought together alumni managers from legal, consulting, accounting, and media firms, to discuss the topic of key success metrics throughout the talent life-cycle. One of the most interesting parts of the afternoon was the round-table discussions around which KPI’s are considered to be the most valuable to an organization and how to best measure them.
Shaking things up in Chicago
Jumping across the pond to the “windy” city of Chicago, the team attended the annual SHRM conference. Bringing together thousands of HR professionals from around the world, the conference focused on identifying trends and gathering research, resources, and sources for workplace and workforce issues. As the war for talent is becoming increasingly more difficult, HR managers who are responsible for topics such as business development or recruitment for their firms, were eager to learn about how our software can help to increase their ROI with talents and decrease their manual efforts simultaneously.
Perfectly posh at the Palace
After many months of preparation, the day finally arrived for the much anticipated 2018 World Talent Forum! Gathering HR & alumni professionals from across the globe, the event focused on a range of talent management topics. Hosted by IntraWorlds, and held at the elegant Nymphenburg Palace in Munich, participants were inspired through panel discussions, presentations, and workshops. The opportunities to network continued as the event carried into the evening at the world famous Oktoberfest. Speakers, attendees and members of the IntraWorlds team were able to unwind and reflect on the day over a traditional Bavarian dinner.
Lawfully lovely in London
Working closely with a multitude of professional service firms, including an array of global law firms, the Law Firm Marketing Summit in London this November was an exciting place to be for the IntraWorlds team! Having the opportunity present, I discussed why top law firms around the globe are establishing formal corporate alumni programs in the first place, and secondly, how they are utilizing their programs in order to reach their business objectives. The event offered a wealth of knowledge and thought-provoking ideas from like-minded professionals and served as an excellent opportunity for building new relationships.
As 2018 comes to a close, we can’t help but set our sights on the future. 2019 is sure to be another exciting year filled with growth, innovation, and adventures for the IntraWorlds team!
